There are many testing labs in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan. Those big lab agencies that we know such as, Intertek, TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Modern Testing Services, SGS, there are actually some more labs that we can chose from to test the goods because they have the qualification.
How do we find out?
For example, here is the official website of CPSC (United States Consumer Product Safety Committee)
https://www.cpsc.gov/cgi-bin/labsearch/
The laboratories in this list have been accepted as accredited to test products to one or more of these children’s product safety rules, as identified in the accreditation scope for each laboratory.
When you have received a certification or test report for a product or a list of products, you could simply go here, type the agency name in the Lab name and find out whether the lab is qualified or not, because some labs they just doing testing for reference purpose or the primary select, or even just for the cheapest test cost.
To make sure the test paper is authoritative and can be accepted by your local custom, it is important to do such a research.
Each lab also has a unique Lab ID, you could get it from your supplier and type the Lab ID, it will show out the lab detail information of where it locates, the full name, the contact information, etc.
